Giving Managers Time to Manage
How TOA Software Creates Accountability, Access to Institutional Memory
Complying with Sarbanes-Oxley, anti-money laundering, OSHA, HIPPA, codes of conduct, and the Patriot Act got you down? That is, of course, on top of all the meetings, 200+ daily emails, more meetings, phone calls, more meetings, faxes, Web searches, and, of course, more meetings just to find out what is going on in your organization. You feel like a prisoner of your Blackberry.

If other BlackBerries are too big or small, RIM offers a `just right` option
The Curve, due to debut with AT&T Inc. by June, sports numerous advances for BlackBerry, most targeting leisure-time features rather than business functions. These include a 2-megapixel camera, a 3.5-millimeter stereo headset jack and an enhanced interface for the media player. This device measures 2.4 inches from side to side - merely a fifth of an inch narrower than the high-end 8800.

Firefox : Does it have Internet Explorer Beaten?

Have you ever wanted to access some of your desktop applications but didn't bring your computer with you? Is it too much to carry your notebook with you? If you don't like to lug around, there is another way and it is called MojoPac. MojoPac is virtualization software that mimics the Windows operating system on an external, USB 2.0 compliant hard disk device such as a Flash memory drive or an iPod.

Alpha Matting and Premultiplication
What is it and why should you care?
Anyone familiar with digital image editing is likely to know what an "alpha channel" is, but the term "alpha matting" is probably less familiar. In the context of digital image data formats, alpha matting does not refer to the use of alpha channels to create a "mask" or "matte"; it refers to a form of encoding where the value of the alpha channel influences the values of the color channels. This encoding technique can have a significant impact on the compositing of files created by different programs, and on the final quality of your images or movies.
